The initiative is accompanied by a new suite of corporate logos, and visual identity. NAP will continue to build on its position as an industry leader in providing exceptional manufacturing capabilities to designers, retailers, and hospitality industry nationwide. 

The company also decided to continue with the “world” avatar due to its timelessness design and futuristic symbolism.

Corona, CA – North American Pet Products/CASCO awarded one lucky retailer a $25,000 store remodel for the  third year in a row at this year’s Global Pet Expo 2010 in Orlando, FL.

Bobby Clarke of ‘care-A-Lot Pet Supply of Virginia Beach, VA., won the prize drawing that North American Pet Products/CASCO sponsored along with the Global Pet Expo organizers.  The prize package includes $25,000 worth of pet and aquatic store fixtures provided by North American Pet Products/CASCO. 

From March 16th through the 18th, North American Pet Products/CASCO accepted entries at the show’s special giveaway booth located just off the main aisle of the show floor.  The booth showcased several of the company’s new commercial fixtures, including two state-of-the-art Reptile Habitats.  The commercial fixtures were eye catching, not only because of their cutting edge style and appearance, but almost every unit was filled with a variety of small animals, birds or fish.  There was even a small animal petter filled with bunnies and guinea pigs, whom drew quite a crowd during the 3 days of the show. 

Care-A-Lot Pet Supply, a family owned and operated business, has been specializing in pet supply items to the Virginia Beach market for over 23 years.  By providing excellent customer service and hard to find pet items, Care-A-Lot Pet Supply has created a name for itself as one of the nation’s leading Pet Supply companies, not only in Virginia but nationally.  With two locations in the state of Virginia, Care-A-Lot Pet is more than pet supplies.  The two stores hold various pet clinics on the weekends, as well as offer boarding and day care services to all guests.  Mr. Clarke was excited to hear about his winning and can’t wait to begin the remodel planning process.  “With two locations and a third to open in November, the timing is perfect,” says President, Mr. Clarke.  Stay tuned for next month’s update as Care-A-Lot Pet Supply begins the initial remodel process and how the plan to enhance the store develops.

CASCO Announces Winners of 2-$20,000 Makeovers

Corona, CA- CASCO today announced the winners of the two $20,000 Store Makeovers, The Pet House in Goleta, California and Pet Country in Medford, Oregon.

The winners were randomly selected following Super Zoo 2010 in Las Vegas from over three hundred applicants. “This year we awarded two makeovers so more stores had a chance to benefit, says Jeremy Moser, Director of Marketing at CASCO.

The owners of the two stores will get to choose the fixtures of their choice, up to the $20,000 limit.

CASCO specializes in customizing habitats to the customer’s needs and is excited about assisting the winners through the process. The real fun is in the small businesses where our habitats make a huge difference in the overall sales,” says Jeremy Moser.

Corona, CA- CASCO announces the implementation of advanced precision CNC (Computerized Numerical Control) software. The technology upgrade expands the company’s fabrication of wood and plastics for greater efficiency.

Casco is a manufacturer of commercial animal habitats, and currently operates a full range of manufacturing options including stamping, die cutting, CNC machining, glass fabrication, acrylic forming, as well as a metal shop specializing in aluminum, and steel. Over the past eight months following the merge with ZooQuality, a former division of North American Pet Products, CASCO’s CNC fabricated components business has been expanded.

“This new software isn’t glamorous, but it will allow us to reduce set-up time, increase throughput and improve efficiencies. Customers are demanding speed, precision, and cost reductions, says Ron Bonner, and we are delivering all of it.”

“CNC wood and plastic products are a natural fit to the fixture market and we are now poised to penetrate other fixture categories. We already supply national retailers with habitats so P.O.P and entire store build outs are a natural fit. Several of our new systems will be on display for SuperZoo 2010, and this is just the beginning,” says Bonner.

Along with the advancements to the CNC equipment, CASCO continues to invest in the most advanced technology. Extensive investments into streamlining inventory management, to order fulfillment and forecasting have also been implemented. These upgrades to systems can be seen across all divisions of the Corona, CA based company including Mexico, New Jersey, and the Utah operations.

“The cost to implement these changes is substantial, but the return is even greater,” adds Bonner.

With the recent acquisition by North American Pet Products, it was important to express our dedication to historical successes while capitalizing on new growth initiatives. The two companies feel strongly that the new logo conveyed this.

The rebranding will yield growth opportunities as CASCO continues to expand the scope of its product offerings across the supply network spectrum.

North American Pet Products Expands Rock Garden Distribution

Corona, CA- NORTH AMERICAN PET PRODUCTS® announced today the expansion of RockGarden products. RockGarden was formally under the CASCO Group umbrella until recently when North American Pet Products acquired the assets of CASCO Group Inc. of Cerritos, CA.

RockGarden Aquarium Accessories is well known for its decorations including bulk rock, sculptured rock, plant based rock, and cast resin options. The rocks are mined near the company’s facility in Utah and distributed through its Corona, CA and Rutherford, NJ facilities.

The diverse selection of rock is sure to excite the aquarium hobbyist. The company sees the best selling Wonderstone, as the perfect aquatic accessory, along with Tufa, Lava, and Lace close behind.

The company also offers cast resin products that include S.A.S bowls, tunnels, stacks and bases with decorative plants.

Scott Lebowitz from That Fish Place – That Pet Place in Lancaster, PA., won the prize drawing that North American Pet Products/CASCO sponsored along with the Global Pet Expo organizers.  The prize package includes $25,000 worth of pet and aquatic store fixtures provided by North American Pet Products/CASCO. 

From March 25th through the 27th, North American Pet Products/CASCO accepted entries at the show’s special giveaway booth located just off the main aisle of the show floor.  The booth showcased several of the company’s new commercial fixtures, including two state-of-the-art Small Animal habitats.  The commercial fixtures were eye catching, not only because of their cutting edge style and appearance, but almost every unit was filled with a variety of small animals, reptiles or fish.  There were even two African Grays, whom drew quite a crowd during the 3 days of the show. 

The That Fish Place – That Pet Place team has provided excellent customer service and friendly clientele to the Lancaster market for over 37 years.   One of the largest retail pet stores in the world at 110,000 sq. ft, That Fish Place – That Pet Place is known for their large, quality selection of fish, small animals, reptiles and various supplies.  From weekly in-store shows, to a large 2,000 gallon touch tank filled with stingrays and other sea creatures, That Fish Place – That Pet Place enjoys bringing a crowd and entertaining atmosphere to the store.  Mr. Lebowitz and team were very excited to hear of their winning and can’t wait to begin the remodel planning process.  “This couldn’t have come at a more perfect time for us.  We’ve been looking to upgrade our systems and with this prize we will be able to do just that and more.  We can’t wait to get started”, says COO, Rick Amour.  Stay tuned for next month’s update as That Fish Place – That Pet Place begins to develop their remodel and how they plan to enhance their store.

CASCO Group, Inc. was established in the USA in 1983 and has grown to become one of the world’s largest manufacturers of retail acrylic aquariums and commercial pet systems. With dedicated manufacturing in the USA, and Mexico, CASCO’s global presence, state of the art systems, and advanced customer service can be seen worldwide.

Teams from the two companies reacted immediately to ensure a seamless customer experience. The combined company now operates a 24/7 customer service support line for all commercial equipment. The expanded arrangement will continue to deliver enhanced habitat solutions to large and small companies that accelerate profitable growth through ingenuity, superior environments, and veterinarian approved designs.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The combined company will have 200 employees and will consolidate the Cerritos operations under the North American Pet Products world headquarters in Corona, CA. CASCO Group Inc will operate as a division of North American Pet Products. Existing CASCO Group facilities in Utah, Illinois, and Mexico will continue operations as usual.
